Richard Wright, born in the 1900s, a circumstantial period in American history, is kn accept to be a very powerful and controversial writer whose works has helped redefined discussions of expedite relations. As a young boy, Richard is just now unable to believe the publicly accepted notions that his blackness, lack of religion, and talented curiosity make him inherently flawed. Instead, I found in Richard a character determined to live according to his own principles and willing to live with the consequences. This strong-willed nature, however, contrasts with Richards powerless posture in societyâ€"the low social status that comes with creation black and poor.
In the book Black Boy by Richard Wright, Wright was frequently told to be careful about what he say or did around white people. Wright would try to watch what he said and did around the white folk, but he often had trouble acting like the Uncle tomcat stereotype the whites evaluate him to be.
