Nardelli took on the Director Role in the Rational Goal model. He pushed his ideas in order to get results. Nardelli used a transactional leadership style in that he made company finish changes plus put in processes that would change the way things would be done.

I agree with Lowes hiring of more full time employees. This develops ownership and loyalty in the employee base. They withal become a more knowledgeable employee that is available as a resource to the customer. One of HDs issues that Nardelli did not adequately address is the attention the customer receives.
