scape Ferry is the main character/narrator. One wickedness coming home from work, he is just whimsical. He notices that in that respects a car behind that is swerving resembling crazy. So he lets that car pass him so he wont sire hit. But he catches the drivers face. He sees a beautiful woman. He is keen to actually see who is driving and wants to know why she is driving so erratically. At a stop light, he sees the driver (Lisa Kim); he describes her as beautiful. Soon after he sees her, she speeds away. She hits a curb, and goes flying into a light pole. She dies. Peter then attends her funeral, besides Lisas family misidentifys him for Peter C bey. However, Peter does not correct the Kim family for their mistake; he just pretends that he is. Later, Maud Kim (Lisas sister) sends Peter a earn. The letter informs Peter that she found a letter address to P. Maud believes its for him, so she sends it to him. Peter reads the letter and it sounds like she and P did drugs together, based on what was said in the letter (the letter is explicitly written in the book, look for it if you want). Peter wants to get to the bottom of Lisas accident. He believes that this P person is believably responsible for Lisas accident; he refers to it as Lisas murder.



He does some investigating at Lisas extravagantly school, but does not find any info that result help him solve Lisas death. He somehow finds this mavin person (Annie Pritchard), and she was one of Lisas closest friends. Peter asks if she knows a person called P. Annie tells Peter that she actually knows someone referred to as P. His cite is actually Peter Carey, and he works at a bar. Peter Ferry visits Peter Carey, but he doesnt have any information about Lisas death.
