section 1 of PACE

gives the police force the redress to stop and search people and vehicles in a universal place. This includes (pubs, car park, private gardens). The policeman has to have reasonable lawsuit to believe that the somebody or vehicle stopped contains stolen goods or prohibited articles (offensive weapons and articles for practice session in connection with burglary or theft.
