The numbers accompanying by Countee Cullen is the poem I chose because I feel that I can relate to this story that is world told. The poem Incident is about a vernal befool who realizes how bad being in Baltimore was because of the color of his skin, as an attendant occurred when a childlike exsanguinous boy non frequently bigger then this 8 year old swarthy boy c on the wholeed him a Nigger. I think this was the boys runner encounter of racism at such a young age and clearly he understood what was going on as he was called a Nigger, but it in like human beingsner seems like he didnt do anything and kept all the pain in and moved on with his vacation if you shall say.
The 8 year old boy was in such a good mood Once riding, in old Baltimore, Heart-filled, Head-filled, with mirth Until he seen a Baltimorean which in my guess is a local anaesthetic who replied back in such a harsh way, As the little colored boy smiled at the white boy, The white boy stuck his tongue out and called him a Nigger The poem does not explain what happens after the incident, but it does mention I saw the whole of Baltimore from may until December his whole die intemperate in Baltimore he knew what it would be like to stay the relief of summer and fall. Throughout his entire stay he didnt have much fun because the only thing on his mind was the Baltimorean calling him a Nigger.



In the 1920s Racism was bad it was the rise of the KKK, also Baltimore and the nations black set and upper classes aspirations for freedom, equality, and respect within a racially segregate society. So it was pretty much horrible for this young man to experience racism at such a young age.
Racism was bad every where and for me to relate to the story of Incident it really brings memories back reading it. I was born on a little island called American Samoa, but I was raised(a) in Hawaii.
