How it started:
Before the world was familiar with innovative products such as Nike Shock and sensational slogans like Just Do it, an University of operating room dog coach, Bill Bowerman, was researching methods for his deny athletes to have a pleasant advantage over their competitors.

In 1972, BRS was establish to debut their design and manufacture their first brand of running play shoes under the name Nike.

Carolyn Davidson, a graphic design student from Portland State University, created and designed the brands brand Swoosh for BRS.
